Strawberry Picking

We took Saryn strawberry picking last weekend. I always went picking with my mom and when I moved South continued to do so. I would either go with a friend or take the children I was nannying for. We usually wait until the middle or end of May to go but with the baby being due soon we took advantage of the beautiful weather we had on Saturday. Buckwheat Farms is my favorite place to go because they have a few farm animals and Saryn loves to go and look at them.

She even fed the white horse some clover this time.

And gave him a pet!

We have our bucket ready for picking. She wants to carry it herself.

Trying to find the hiding berries.

Getting pretty good at finding them.

Gotta play with the orange flags. That's what those are for anyways, right?!

Look mom, I got one!

Time to pay. Look at all those yummy strawberries!

Last year she ate more than she picked. This year she didn't eat any of them while we were picking and waited until we were in the car before she asked if she could have some! Quite a difference!! :)

It's nice that you carry on that tradition :-)
