First Grade!

It is hard to believe it but Saryn is in first grade already.  She had a GREAT first day.  She loves loves loves her new teacher.  She is young and according to Saryn has great hair.  :)  She also went to Meredith College, so I know first hand she has a good education.  :)  From what we are seeing thus far from the teacher, Saryn is in for a great year.  

The highlight for Saryn is that we are letting her ride the bus home from school this year.  According to Saryn, sitting and waiting in the cafeteria for carpool is just awful.  :)

She was so disappointed when she couldn't ride it home yesterday - the school didn't have her on their bus list so we had to do carpool for pick up.

The school got everything sorted out and today she got off the bus beaming!!

The bus driver is super nice.  She introduced herself to me and told me she won't let Saryn off the bus if I'm not out there to get her.  Love it.  She also made Saryn sit in the front seat so she could keep an eye on her and help her know when to get off.  Again, love it.   And, I met a new neighbor who lives on our road and has a daughter who is 8 that goes to Oak Grove and is on our track.  Fantastic!

Couldn't ask for a better start to the new school year!
